Introduction
Venice is world-famous as the "City of Water". Its urban fabric is waterways crossed and completely surrounded by water, as well. Built on 117 small islands, separated by 150 canals, Venice is acknowledged as one of the world’s greatest and most gorgeous cities of art. Founded and grew in the most hostile situations, up to becoming one of the European powers, Venice is still a magnificent open-sky museum that modernity has not destroyed nor cancelled during centuries. People can enjoy the city’s most evocative views walking trough the several secluded ways or by a gondola tour, slipping in the canals under many pictoresque bridges, like in a dream.
Conference Venue
The fifteenth European Conference on Composite Materials will be held in the city of Venice, on Lido Island.The venue selected is the Venice Congress Center with its Palazzo del Cinema, Palazzo del Casinò and PalaGalileo
The buildings overlook the sea and the beaches of Adriatic see on one side and the lagoon of Venice and S. Mark's Square on the other.
